Programmes
Whitechapel AM broadcasts 24 hours a day, but our most important
programmes are in the evening:
5pm - The Whitechapel AM Comedy Hour
A mix of classic and contemporary comedy, including Hancock, The Two
Ronnies, Little Britain, Deadringers and standup.
6pm - Pick And Mix
Music, news and entertainment to get the evening going in fine style.
8pm - Whitechapel Live
Our flagship programme, live and interactive from the wards of the
Royal London. Our ward team visit the patients to collect
requests, play competitions, and chat about the day’s issues.
10pm - Whitechapel Late
We finish off the day with a mix of great music, comedy, poetry and
more.
Throughout the rest of the day we play music based on listeners'
requests. There's also live concerts from some of the World's
biggest artists, an hour of Asian music, and a daily kids' music
programme.
Saturdays are special on Whitechapel AM as the kids take over the
station. There’s music for the childrens’ wards from 2pm.
Then at 4pm it’s WAM4Kids. That’s two hours of madness from the
wards with games, showbiz gossip, sport, and whatever else the kids
want to chat about.
